This course is designed to give seniors a space to discuss relevant matters of faith and culture with one another while pursuing areas of theology study that are of particular importance to them.
In this course, students will engage with science, philosophy, literature, media, technology, relationships, and many other areas of life and consider the ways in which these various areas shape their understanding of the gospel and likewise how their understanding of the gospel shapes these areas of life. This course is heavily discussion based interposed with a few larger assignments where students will be asked to read a theological book in its entirety and respond to it.
This is a 1 semester course consisting of 4 units. Upon successful completion students will receive 0.5 credit towards high school graduation.
Purpose of the Course
The purpose of this course is to give students a space to engage with other students about faith and “real life”.

Methods of Instruction
This course uses writing assignments, discussions, group work, reading, and essays in order to consider each theological area in the course.
Methods of Evaluation
In this course you will be evaluated by your depth of response to essays, reflections, discussions, assessments, projects and virtual conversations with other classmates. There are no objective exams (multiple choice, true false, etc).
